Lapeer Community Theatre is seeking actors 18+ for Steven Dietz’s wickedly theatrical adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic vampire tale. Rich with both humor and horror, this production will embrace gothic atmosphere, suspense, physical storytelling, and the dangerous pull of the supernatural.
Auditions will consist of cold reads from the script. No prepared monologue is required, and actors of all experience levels are encouraged to audition. Actors may be asked to read more than once, try different roles, or work with different scene partners. Because the production includes physical storytelling, actors may also be asked to participate in simple movement or staging exercises; no intimate or violent contact will be improvised during auditions.
Please bring a headshot — selfies are okay! — a completed audition form, and a complete list of known conflicts.
DRACULA (DIETZ) is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Dramatists Play Service. www.concordtheatricals.com
